The release of Roberto Alagna's disc My Life is an opera is in itself an event as it is not a compilation but a very recent studio recording of opera arias carefully selected to illustrate the singer's path… When we met Roberto Alagna, he was between two performances of Carmen in Berlin. It has been also a chance for us to talk with him about Le Cid and Le Roi Arthus he will sing during the Season at the Opera de Paris. |

Interview with Bryan Hymel, tenor 28/02/2014
In a few years tenor Bryan Hymel has become an essential value of international opera houses. Still little known in France, he has nevertheless already sung at great opera houses such as the Metropolitan Opera and the Royal Opera House in roles deemed as overwhelming. The Opus Arte label has published no fewer than three stunning video recordings to the glory of the American tenor: Carmen in 3D, Les Troyens and the rare Robert le Diable. A regular of the London stage, Bryan Hymel currently sings in French the role of Henri in Verdi's Les Vêpres Siciliennes. The cameras will invest Covent Garden on November 4 HD for a broadcast of this production by Stefan Herheim in cinemas in many countries, including France ... |
